Leika Mochán Comenzó began her musical studies at the age 5, playing the violin in different schools and with private teachers. At 12 she entered a choir, at 16 she decided to pursue a singing career, taking classes with professional singers such as Isabel Tercero and Iraida Noriega.

Leika has been in several groups such as Banderlux, La Bandaocote, Natalia Lafourcade, Sanchez Dub and more. She has recorded several albums such as Escuela de Bufones by Mitote jazz and Ahi Va Ya of Banderlux. The album Muna Zul by Muna Zul, released by record label Tzadik of the renowned New York musician John Zorn, has been co-produced by Leika, as well as Enviaje by Muna Zul and Aguakate by Los Aguakates. She recently produced her first solo album Kaleidojísmos.

She currently teaches singing and improvisation at the Allaire Studio and Escuela Superior de Música (México DF) and participates in several very diverse ensembles as singer and songwriter; Los Aguakates, Kaleidojísmos, Proyecto Gecko and Muna Zul, to name only a few. She has recently started working on the project Frágil and released a cd with Proyecto Gecko.

Leika provided a soundtrack of improvisations and compositions during the shows of the 7th International Laboratory of Arts and Circus.
